Instead of my usual ‘Meet the Blogger’ series, I decided it is time for another feature on a favorite YouTuber of mine: Tana Mongeau. Last time I did an interview with someone from YouTube was when I interviewed Marissa Kathryn aka MarissaLace back in 2012 (you can find that interview HERE).
Meet Tana Mongeau: I first started watching Tana’s vlogs in May 2015, around the time she started her YouTube channel. Her hilarious personality along with her confidence sets her apart. Not to mention she is gorgeous and I am slightly obsessed with her hair. Check out my interview with her below:

Interview with Tana Mongeau
1. Tell me a little about yourself.
I’m really just a carefree, simplistic girl. I like to have fun, and I truly believe that the point of life is to be happy, because life is short. You’ll always catch me laughing or cracking a sarcastic joke, that’s just how I am. I love my family and friends more than anything in the world and I’ll do anything for them. I’m also quite the independent gal, I enjoy doing things on my own an working for them versus having them handed to me.
2. What made you interested in starting a YouTube channel?
I’ve always had a true passion for content creation, and just being myself and making others laugh. I discovered YouTube when I was honestly 11 or 12, and I’ve been hooked since. I started out actually being extremely interested in making a beauty/fashion channel, but I soon realized that my crazy personality wasn’t all too fitting for those hahahaha. So here I am now; comedy, ranting, vlogging, basically whatever the hell I want.
3. You have a great personality and a lot of confidence, what’s your advice on dealing with haters?
I always try to tell people that no matter WHAT you are putting out on the internet, someone, somewhere is going to have something rude to say. If you spent your time being upset about what a person hiding behind their keyboard is saying, you’d be upset 24/7. I learned to kinda laugh at it, and not really care. I believe that overall a really big portion of being happy in life is simply not caring what others think. Living for yourself and your own happiness.
4. I know you just partnered with Awesomeness TV (which is amazing), where do you hope to see your channel a year from now?
I am so excited to work with them, thank you! Honestly, I have no idea where I’ll be. My hopes are that I’m happy, laughing, and still doing what I love. I’m not doing this for money, therefore I will never sell out or be something that I’m not, which makes me happy and excited to see what the future brings.
5. How has your everyday life changed since you started your channel?
My favorite aspect of all of this is the fans. Waking up to nice comments and cute Instagram pages and tweets seriously makes me so happy. I never really thought there would be a response like this, so to actually see it happen is crazy. It’s kinda of awesome to think that there are 23,000 [now 1+ million] people on the internet that love me.
6. What hobbies do you have other than YouTube?
While most of my free time is consumed with working, I enjoy raving, traveling, or any sort of adventure. Basically anything that involves laughing and having fun with my friends. Whatever that may be.
7. What is your advice for anyone who wants to start a YouTube channel or blog?
DO IT. If you want to do it, and you’re strongly passionate about it, get out there and do it. You’re never going to accomplish it by sitting at your computer watching other YouTubers and wishing it was you. Get your camera, film your first video and post that shit. Don’t be afraid of what others have to say, while the internet is filled with haters, it is also filled with a lot of amazing people and opportunities! Never go into it for the money either, it’s so obvious when people are only doing YouTube or blogging for the money/free stuff/”fame” and those people get weeded out right quick. You’ve gotta truly love it.
