I have been loving incorporating braids into my everyday hair routine. Fishtails, dutch, french, you name it! I have been critiquing all the techniques to create cute (often heatless) hairstyles for school. My hair has a mind of its own and half the time it is going fifty different directions. If I can tame this wild beast without having to put a ton of heat on it, I am all ears! Below is a hairstyle I have been loving to do. Plus it is quick and easy if you are in a rush!
After I finish up my makeup, it’s on to the hair! I love doing braids on second day hair because if it is the least bit greasy, it can hide it. Plus, I don’t like washing my hair every day so this works perfectly if I curled my hair the day before. I have been loving my wet hairbrush from Hask Beauty. I had no idea that brushing wet hair with a paddle brush is actually really bad for your hair. This brush (below) is okay for wet hair, plus it is the perfect size for travel!

The first step is to take a small section of hair and begin french braiding it down the side of your face. It is up to you how big or small you want the braid. It can be tiny or Amber Fillerup style (which I adore). Today decided to do a medium side french braid.
Once you have reached the end of the braid tie it off and spray a little bit of hairspray to keep it in place. You can be finished here or move to the next step, which is an adorable pinned back french braid!
Simply take two bobby pins and pin the braid back. Untie your hair tie and blend it with the rest of your hair. Viola! You have an adorable pinned back french braid!
What is your go-to hairstyle for on the go or no heat?!

You look beautiful and so does your braid! I seriously can't master this super easy technique, I tend to forget after a few overlaps what to do next and then the whole thing just falls apart, haha! I'll have to give it a try again, thanks so much for sharing and have a wonderful day, beauty!

What a great and easy look for when you don't have too much time to style your hair. Maybe it's because you made it seem effortless 🙂

Love your look, I always do a french braid but have never tucked it. Trying it today!
I always opt for braids on second hair day too, usually one big side braid because my hair is so long I find it gets in my way at work. The side french braid technique is one i use all the time in the summer though!
Gah I love braids! I wish my hair was long enough (and thick enough) to play around with braids more than I already do! I love the look, though! 🙂
I actually did this style on my last blog post!! Super easy and super chic! Love it!

How cute! I am embarrassed to admit that I don't know how to do anything with my hair except curl and straighten it. Come over and be my friend and braid my hair! 🙂
