Let’s face it. Graduating college and going out on your own is scary and you quickly realize how much living comfortably actually costs. If you are 100% financially independent from your parents, you’ll know exactly what I am talking about. Paying rent is painful. And those new tires costs $500. Don’t forget about your friend’s wedding in Mexico that you can’t miss. The reality is that right out of college you probably aren’t making the big bucks yet (congrats if you are!) and many have those little things called student loans, which can make things tough. I have certainly had to adjust my lifestyle and manage my money and get creative to save money and enjoy life too! Below I have listed 5 {creative} money saving tips for post grads:
And don’t worry, these tips aren’t just for bloggers, anyone can take advantage of these ideas!
#1: SheSpeaks
In case you haven’t heard of SheSpeaks, it is an influencer community and the great part is you don’t even have to be a big time YouTube star or beauty blogger to review products. Sign up and start voicing your opinion about products you love that SheSpeaks sends to you for free. I just received a box of Tampax Pocket Pearl, which clearly every girl needs. I did the Amazon review as the campaign asked of me and saved myself $9 for good ol’ tampons.
#2: Poshmark
I’ve talked about Poshmark on my blog before and I am mentioning it again because it is seriously AMAZING (check out that post HERE). I’ll be short and sweet since I did an entire post on Poshmark, but seriously guys, go through your closet and make money on the things you don’t want anymore. Feel free to browse my closet to get an idea of some of the things I’ve sold in the past.
#3: Care.com
If you have a couple free nights to babysit or are interested in making some extra money dog sitting, check out care.com. Sign up for an account and complete your profile (so people know you are legit) and start applying to jobs. There are entire sections for people needing a date night sitter (not a continual commitment) and for pet sitting jobs!
#4: Influenster
Influenster is one of my favorites because you can get chosen to receive their version of a subscription box (without the fees) in exchange for reviews on the products inside. Last month I received the Blush Vox Box, which contained shampoo, conditioner, face wipes, fake lashes, and deodorant. Literally all things (minus maybe the fake lashes) that I have to buy on a regular basis all for free!
#5: Be a Postmates Courier
I have an entire blog post on my experience as a Postmates courier so check that out. I will do a delivery every now and again when I have some time to kill to make some extra spending money. Once you attend an on boarding session, you’ll be an official Postmates courier and can deliver food whenever your heart desires.

Great post! I’ve always wondered if Poshmark was worth it and even downloaded the app a couple times but never even opened it. Will definitely try it out now 🙂 thanks for these
