The blog is getting really random these days, but I’m not complaining. Spending time at home I’ve been able to not only find new hobbies, but be unproductive and online shop as well. In today’s post, I wanted to share my weekend roundup of new favorites I’ve discovered. Disclaimer, there is not a specific theme here so don’t be surprised at the randomness.
GUA SHA
I first heard of lymphatic drainage massages from a beauty blogger and was quite intrigued. Then last week I saw in Margo Oshry’s Get Ready With Me Vlog where she used a special tool prior to applying her makeup. I did some research and found a gemstone facial roller and Gua Sha on Amazon (similar here). I won’t get into all the advantages and some side effects of lymphatic massages, but check out this InStyle article if you are interested!
Where’d You Go, Bernadette & a cute AirPods case
My mom and sister both read Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple and recommended it for my next book. I am only a few pages in, but am excited to tackle it this week. Also, I love my pink fluffy AirPods case I recently purchased (see similar here). I kind of feel like a 12 year old with the fluff ball attached, but I think it is fun and helps differentiate from Paul’s AirPods.
A good ol’ pair of eyebrow scissors
It was last week when I realized I need to invest in a pair of eyebrow scissors. I’ve always had some thick brows, and after I got them waxed in 8th grade and they looked HORRID, I have taken care of them myself since. There have been times where I look back at pictures of myself with wide eyes, but I do think I have gotten quite better at maintaining the right shape. However, I ALWAYS forget to actually trim the brows in addition to plucking. I was using a pair of kitchen scissors before I realized I should probably buy a pair of scissors made for eyebrows. I found these bad boys and my life has been changed since. My eyebrows are also thanking me.
Check out these scissors that also includes a brush!
My Erin Condren Planner = my love
Every year for Christmas I ask for a new planner. I am the type of person that prefers handwritten planners rather than my iPhone calendar app. This year I picked out the Erin Condren planner and I love it! I will say, it is quite bulky but it usually stays on my work desk and I jot everything from my workout plan to what is for dinner. The daily schedule is a bit light due to not leaving the house, but I still have fun adding stickers and color coding if I am feeling frisky.
