This post is a tad bit different than what I normally do. When I came home for Thanksgiving, my sister told me about a book she absolutely loved. It is called If You Find This Letter written by Hannah Brencher. It is about a girl who begins leaving letters around NYC for strangers to find and slowly she begins to make a difference. She started a company, The World Needs More Love Letters, with hope to bring people together to write personalized letters for people struggling. I am hoping to implement a campus-wide program at my college in order to bring hope to someone who is hurting.
Over break, my sister and I wrote five personalized letters to The World Needs More Love Letter’s four people of the month. It was fun picking out cute stationary and washi tape with hopes that our hand written letters would bring a smile to someone’s face. The amazing thing about The World Needs More Love Letters, is that if you want to participant you can either write a letter to a real person (find someone on their website), or leave a handwritten letter in your own town for someone to find.
