5 Blogging Goals for Miss Olivia Says!

2016 is going to be GREAT I can feel it already. I have made so much progress with my blog is six short months that I am certain 2016 will continue to bring big things for Miss Olivia Says! I have seen a couple 2016 Blogging Goals posts so far from my fellow blogging gals, which inspired me to make my own set of personal blog goals! The sky is the limit with blogging and so far I think I have made great progress creating my blogging brand and I cannot wait to continue to bring you all great content!

I will admit I have been prone to checking my blog stats religiously and basing my success solely off of the numbers. In reality, there is so much more to a successful blog than the number of people heading your way. My goal is to stop focusing so much on stats (yes, stats are still important and a great gauge of what is working and what is not) and more on the quality of content I am creating… which leads me to my next goal!

I admit, I do get in the habit of trying to think of a bunch of random posts to just create content rather than putting time into creating something amazing and worthwhile to read. I have been really into DIYs lately and although those posts take a lot time and and energy, they are worthwhile to read and people do enjoy finding cool new DIYs! So whether it is a cool DIY or a weekly lookbook that might take longer to create, I want to give y’all great content that you look forward to!

Although having a strict blog schedule is not necessarily feasible, I do want to have somewhat of a regular schedule when it comes to posts. I am heading into my last semester of college which means there will be weeks where it is very difficult to create content. However, being the star-organizer I am, I have got pretty good at planning out posts in advance and scheduling content for weeks that I am crazy busy! For 2016, I want to continue to schedule out posts and create a monthly post calendar that will help me stay on track. Hello cute Rifle Paper Co. calendar and washi tape!!

I have been HORRIBLE at creating a following and even a presence for that matter on social media channels. I created a separate Instagram (find that HERE) for my blog and want to use that as my main point of contact besides my blog. My goal for 2016 is to utilize that account and use it to my advantage to attract new followers and connect with my current readers!

I LOVE connecting with bloggers just like me from around the world. So far I think I have done a pretty good job at staying up-to-date with a lot of my favorite blogger’s posts, but I want to do an ever better job at networking with other bloggers! Perhaps guest blog posts, giveaways featuring multiple bloggers, and more ‘Meet the Blogger’ series (check out my latest Meet the Blogger interview with Krista from K Avenue). There are so many amazing bloggers out there and I love collaborating and connecting with you all!
