I wish I had known about blogger Facebook groups before three months ago when I first found out about them. They are filled with supportive and creative bloggers from all niches who share similar blogging goals and aspirations as me. I have found so many amazing blogs that that have been so inspiring and helpful to me. And even though after joining these groups, most of my Facebook newsfeed is blogging-related, I’m not even mad about it! Below are my five reasons why YOU should join blogger Facebook groups:
#1: Increase your blog traffic:
Every group is different, but most have blog promo days where you share your latest blog post that you want people to check out. My traffic has grown significantly just from sharing my recent posts, as well as engaging in other blogger’s posts. I have learned in my past three months in blogger Facebook groups that you get out what you put in. If all you’re doing is posting a link to your latest post and not interacting with anyone else, you won’t see the traffic increase AND you may get kicked out from the group.
#2: Increase your social media followings:
In my monthly traffic reports and blogging goals for the next month (HERE and HERE) I usually include a social media goal (this month is reaching 1200 followers on my Instagram). Facebook blogging groups have helped me reach my goals via social media promo posts. The groups often have bloggers share their choice of social media that they need more engagement on. I have also found some amazing Instagram and Pinterest accounts to follow as well!
#3: Meet amazing bloggers to collaborate with:
I haven’t done a collab post with a blogger from the Facebook groups I’m part of yet, but I have met some creative chicas that I will be interviewing/have interviewed for my Meet the Blogger series. See past Meet the Blogger interviews HERE and HERE. Blogging Facebook groups make it SO EASY to reach out to someone whether you want to do a collab with them or if you just have a question on how they got that cool little slider thing on their blog homepage.
#4: Everyone wants everyone to succeed:
Yes, I have found a lot of blogs that I am insanely jealous of, but I also want my fellow bloggers in the communities I’m part of to succeed. The other day I had a random Facebook message from a guy who found a typo on my “Collaborate” page. He circled the mistake and said “I think your blog is amazing! I just found a little error!” I was incredibly grateful that he pointed my mistake out. Bloggers will also post questions whether it is about needing help to pick out the font for their blog or like me, needing advice on how to switch from Blogger to WordPress (read about that HERE). I received a couple articles that were so helpful and a couple bloggers even gave me their email address if I needed help!
#5: What are you waiting for?!
My last reason is why not?! Blogger Facebook groups are little corners of the internet where people support and bring each other up, which I’m sure you already know can be rare on the internet. Joining these groups have transformed my blog and not only made it more successful, but has made me more inspired to reach my blogging goals. The gals and guys in the groups are my little blog support systems and I’m excited to continue to grow connections and utilizing the resources available to me through the groups!
Below are the groups I’m part of:
