City Spotlight: Jelly Cafe Denver

I promised Denver-themed content so here it is! I am excited to introduce my new series: City Spotlight featuring a yummy restaurant or attraction in Denver, Colorado. This first post is all about brunch, because who doesn’t love a Saturday morning brunch-fix?! My roommate and I woke up on Saturday and decided to go on a run to Jelly Cafe Denver to try some of their famous donut holes and breakfast. If you think you’ll feel guilty devouring yummy brunch food, do what my roomie and I did and run to brunch! It is a great workout followed by a well-deserved meal.

Jelly Cafe is about a mile run from our apartment so we left our place and got there around 9:30am. Jelly Cafe Denver can get packed and the wait time can be very long, so plan accordingly. Luckily, it was only a 15-20 minute wait so we put our name in and continued running to the state capitol and back. It was perfect timing because when we returned the host was ready to seat us. Everything about Jelly Cafe is so colorful and cute, you can’t help but be in a good mood when you’re at this place. The menu is also pretty simple, you can even order cocktails but that was the last thing on our minds after our run. We ordered two donut holes each (I got a green tea and a cinnamon sugar donut and my roomie got maple syrup and green tea) and I got the Basic Breakfast and my roomie got The Boulder scramble. They got our donuts out quickly and I loved every bite of them… I keep staring at the picture I took wishing I had more. Our breakfast came out next and I ate mine so quickly, my roomie was quite impressed. Her Boulder scramble and my eggs, potatoes and toast were amazing so overall our run + brunch turned out a success!
