Hey girls! I feel like I have been off my blogging game recently with my big move! But I am all settled into my new place, and back on top of writing blog posts. If you are a Miss Olivia Says regular, you know that I LOVE doing Meet the Blogger interview series with some of my fellow blogging gals. Today I am so excited to introduce you to Sadie from Hey Sadie Lee. Sadie is a gorgeous southern belle and I am obsessed with her blog. See my interview with her below:
-Tell me a little about yourself.
Hey Y’all! My name is Sadie Lee, the founder of Hey Sadie Lee. I am a southern belle from Texas. I am currently a college student studying Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing at Mississippi State University. I am a member of Chi Omega sorority. I love meeting new people, traveling to new places, and buying new things. I love to experience life to the absolute fullest.
-When did you start your blog and what got you motivated to start blogging?
I started blogging two years ago and everyone assumes it was because I love clothes (This is very true!). But, I found it was a great way to express myself. I was going through a hard time in my life and blogging was the perfect escape. As I got more involved, I found that there is an amazing blogging community out there. I love being part of something bigger than me and with every new blogger I meet I feel like we get to grow our little club on the internet.
-How has your blog change since the beginning of college?
I think the hardest part in the beginning was finding my voice. I was at a different college at the time, studying a different major and I was struggling with figuring out who I was. I was very lost and because of that I had a difficult time expressing myself. Over the past two years I have not only gained confidence in myself but, I have developed a personality that I don’t feel like I have to hide.
-What is one thing that your blog readers probably don’t know about you?
I am extremely dyslexic and I get nervous everytime I hit publish. I read my post 7 or 8 times questioning my spelling and grammar. I even have my mom revise my post from time to time.
-If you could pack up anywhere and move, where would you go?
I would want to live on the beach somewhere. There is no better sound than waves crashing on the shore!
-Where do you hope to see your blog 5 years from now?
I hope to open my own boutique one day and have my blog be a reflection of the store. I want my readers to feel like they are apart of the journey of running a boutique. I hope that in 5 years I have grown my blog and my blogging community around me.
-What is your dream job?
My dream job would to be a full time fashion blogger. Opening my own boutique would be fabulous but, I would love to do what the big girls do!
-What is one piece of advice all bloggers need to hear to have a great blog?
Never give up. Blogging is hard and it takes a lot of time management. I found that once I got into a routine my post were better and I was enjoying every minute. Don’t be afraid to put content out there. It’s scary making yourself vulnerable to the world. That shouldn’t stop you from doing something you love. Love every moment of the life you life and share those moments with others!
