Straight Hair Routine Featuring Irresistible Me Diamond Flat Iron

I am so excited to be doing another hair routine post for you guys on sleek straight hair featuring my Irresistible Me Diamond Flat Iron. If you missed my latest hair post you can catch up HERE. That post was very popular so I wanted to bring back another hair routine. Now, if you are an OG Miss Olivia Says fan, you’ll know that a majority of the time my hair is done in my classic loose curls. I have been curling my hair since before high school and I have gotten so quick at it, that it has become my go to look. Don’t get me wrong, I love sleek straight hair, but I have soooo much hair that it takes a very long time to straighten it to the look I want.

In college my housemates would straighten my hair for me because it was such a process and I never had the motivation to spend that much time on it. The reason it takes so long is because I have a. VERY thick hair and b. my hair texture is quite weird in that if I don’t straighten very small sections at a time, it will because frizzy in a matter of minutes. I was fortunate enough to be sent the Diamond Flat Iron from Irresistible Me. I had seen this flat iron featured in other blogger’s posts and on YouTube and heard nothing but great things. Plus I had been itching for a high quality straighter that would get the job done and let me tell ya, this thing works wonders on my hair! The iron gets up to 400 degrees and although I stick to around 370, you can adjust the temperature to your needs. It is made with tourmaline technology AKA it protects your natural oils, color and moisture. Plus it leaves your hair looking healthy, shiny and frizz free, which is a huge bonus for me. #1: Nexxus Heat Protectant: 

I give my hair a couple squirts of Nexxus Heat Protectant spray to ensure I am minimizing any damage caused by heat. My hair gets damaged very easily so this step is important!

#2: Sun In:

Ever since I was young my hair would turn lighter in the summer due to the sun. Lately, I have been spraying some Sun In all throughout my hair to amplify the effects of the sun/heat. Sun In works if you just use heat and/or by being outside in the sun!

#3: Frizz Ease Hair Shine Serum:

This is often substituted for other hair serums I have (like Moroccan oil). After I finish straightening my hair, I pour a small amount into my hand and run it through the bottom half of my hair. I never put it near my roots because that causes my hair to look super greasy! I also like to run my Irresistible Me Diamond flat iron through my hair one last time after I apply hair shine serum.
