August Favorites

Yes, I have been MIA this entire month but my goal is to be more diligent about scheduling posts to go live during my busy weeks. I thought it would be a blast to do an August Favorites post because I was able to pick up some new beauty products with gift cards I received from my birthday. With my crazy hours I rarely find time to go to the mall so I opted for online shopping. It makes coming home a treat when I have packages filled with new make up products waiting for me at my door. After a stressful day at work, sometimes ya gotta turn to some good ol’ (online) retail therapy. Am I right ladies?

Up & Up Facial Moisturizer: Since moving to Denver I have noticed my skin gets insanely dry. My face will get random dry patches that not even my most moisturizing foundation could tame. I ended up picking up the Target brand facial moisturizer (comparable to Neutrogena Oil-Free Facial Moisturizer, but not as pricey). I have been putting it on after I shower and in the morning before I apply make up and have been obsessed since!

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy: Okay, let me start of by saying this shade is AMAZING. It is subtle yet makes my lips pop. I love the consistency of MAC lipsticks. They also aren’t too expensive compared to other high end lipsticks!

NYX Butter Gloss in Cream Brûlée: I heard a couple of coworkers talking about the NYX butter glosses so of course I had to try it out. I have been pairing this gorgeous pink lip gloss with my MAC lipstick in Velvet Teddy. I think they look great together!

Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer: Being the baller on a budget that I am, I opted for the Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous concealer when I ran out of my Benefit Boi-ing. They are two very different consistencies, but I love the Cover Girl concealer because it helps brighten my under eyes when I wake up and have under eye circles out the wazzu.

Naked 2 Basics: If you have the Naked 1 Basics palette, you will love #2. I was running out of my favorite shade (W.O.S) in the Naked Basics palette so instead of just repurchasing it, I opted to expand my horizons and get the Basics 2. I love neutral matte eye shadows and this little guy is my new favorite. The brown shades will also be great to fill in my eyebrows as well!

Jessica and Designs Layered Triangle Necklace: I was approached by Jessica and Designs to raise awareness about the brand and so immediately I checked out the site. I loved every single thing on that website but was able to narrow it down to this beautiful dainty layered necklace.
