I wanted to dedicate this post to all my soon to be college graduates. I cannot believe that it has been nearly a year since I graduated from college and I have been living on my own and supporting myself for 9 months now. Even though those 9 months have flown by, I feel like I have learned a thing or two about navigating adulting along the way. This post is all about my list of necessary post grad purchases for all of you that will be heading out on your own.
#1: Nutribullet
Luckily my roommate ended up having a Nutribullet when we moved in with each other. I have to say I use it more during the warmer months, but I love making a super quick smoothie before work or on the weekends after a mid-day workout.
#2: Dollar Shave Club Subscription
I used to use “lady” razors and once my boyfriend gave me a razor from the Dollar Shave Club, I probably won’t ever go back. It is a much better shave, plus with the subscription you can have the blades come as often as you want. Plus, I find it more affordable than the three-pack of razors you get from the drugstore.
#3: A good mattress: Casper
I highly recommend a good mattress once you graduate. In college, it is kind of expected that you don’t get a good nights’ sleep. But once you start working a full time job, a good night sleep is even more important. I recommend Casper because it is so easy to purchase (free shipping and is delivered to your door in a box) and it is super comfortable. You can even transport it so easily when you move to other apartments. Overall, investing in a new mattress is so important after graduation! Check out Casper products now!

#4: A tool box!
My roomie and I have a little pick tool box in our apartment and it is seriously the best thing ever. I’ve (aka Paul my boyfriend) has used to for so many different little projects within our apartment. You can get inexpensive toolsets from Target or Home Dept. Check out this one HERE.
#5: Inexpensive Wall Decor
This past summer I found the cutest wall prints on Etsy for super cheap and I decided to start making my own as well. You can make a gallery wall so easily by buying inexpensive wall prints from websites like Etsy. It is a cheap way to add your own touch to your first apartment without spending a lot on wall art. Check out my Etsy shop! I will even make a custom wall print if you have a quote or design in mind!

If you are a recent college grad living on your own, what are your necessary post grad apartment purchases?!
