It has been quite some time since I have done a monthly favorites post. Nevertheless, in the past who knows how many months I have acquired a handful of new products, some of which have made it to my April Makeup Favorites! Below are six products I have been using a lot this past month:
The Products:
Chapstick: Okay, boring I know. But the weather in Denver, Colorado is insanely dry and if I don’t have a Chapstick on me at all times, I am so uncomfortable. I have found that the classic Chapstick brand beats out any fancy-smancy chapstick that is 3x the price!
Stila Concealer: This is the Stay All Day Concealer and it does wonders. I honestly forget where I got it, but I know it is the sample size so I assume it was from a online Sephora purchase. Regardless, you can get it online, Sephora or Ulta and I highly recommend it if you are on the market for a concealer that covers up redness and under eye circles… full time job girls where you at?!
L’Oreal Black Buster Eyeliner: I was desperate for a liquid eye liner and did not have time to run to the store for a couple of days so I ordered the L’Oreal Black Buster Eyeliner on Amazon with Prime shipping. Not expecting much, I actually love this eyeliner and it is so easy to apply. Think of a black marker and that’s basically it. My eyeliner application has gotten 10x better since I started using this product!
Smashbox #ShapeMatters Eyeshadow Palette: I got a great deal on this eyeshadow palette because it was FREE when I signed up for Birch Box. They had a promotion going one where if you signed up for the April box and entered the promo code you got the Smashbox #ShapeMatters Eyeshadow Palette for free. I expected it to be teeny tiny but it is actually a great size palette, perfect for travel. I brought it along when I traveled back to California because it is the perfect travel size. Online on Sephora the regular size palette goes for $55! This ‘sample’ size is awesome and it will definitely last me a long time!
Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Full Cover Foundation: This foundation was probably the most expensive foundation I have ever purchased besides a Nars foundation I bought two summers ago that ended being wayyyy to dark for me. I took the right precautions this time around and went into Sephora to get matched to the right shade. Overall, I love this foundation and the coverage is amazing. The only downside would be the applicator. Basically, it is just a stick that you dip into the bottle so once it is running low it can be tricky to make use of all the product. Oh, and like I mentioned, it is also pricey!
Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette: I have always loved my Urban Decay Naked products. In total, I have the Naked, Naked 3, Naked Basics, Naked Basics 2 and Naked Ultimate Basic palettes. Clearly I have a problem. BUT, I love the matte and natural colors, plus I can double up and use some of the browns to fill in my brows so it is a double whammy!
