I have not done a ‘Meet the Blogger’ feature in almost a year! My last post featuring a favorite blogger of mine was with Sadie from Hey Sadie Lee in June of 2016…oops! Even though I have been terrible about keeping this series going, I am coming today with a new feature! Meet Molly from Molly on the Move! I have been reading Molly’s blog for quite some time now and I absolutely love the bright and fun feel to her posts! Check out my interview with her below:
2. How did you get interested in blogging?
After studying abroad for a semester in Copenhagen during college, I felt constantly inspired and wanted a place to put all my thoughts down. Travel is always a source of inspiration for me, but the ideas kept flowing beyond just my wanderlust. I feel extremely blessed by the life I lead and everything I have been fortunate enough to experience and hope to spread some of my love for life around.
3. I know you love to travel, what is one piece of travel advice you think everyone should know?
I think everyone needs to travel outside of their country at least once in their lifetime. There are so many other cultures out there to experience and it is so important to be a bit outside of your comfort zone when traveling. It opens up so many new feelings and lessons!
4. Favorite place you have traveled to?
Gosh only one?! I am biased towards Copenhagen since I lived there for five months…but Barcelona and Santorini also have my heart!
5. What is the best compliment you’ve received?
I can’t think of one best compliment at the moment, but any time someone says I inspired them to go out and do something or start something really means a lot to me. Being any type of motivation or inspiration for someone is something truly so incredible – it is amazing how we have the power to completely shift someone’s day or overall attitude and I am very humbled that I am able to do so on a somewhat bigger scale than most.
6. How has your blog, Molly on the Move, evolved since you started it?
It has changed so much! I laugh (and cringe) when I go back to some of my original posts because the thought was definitely there, but not implemented well haha! I have learned a lot about analytics and different tactics to implement, so I would say those have helped me to evolve. I’ve also grown more comfortable with who I am and open up more with my posts. I enjoy writing more personal posts now because if I can make even one other person feel like they’re not alone, it is worth it.
7. Favorite summer go-to look?
when not in a giant t shirt and shorts (lol), I’d say a comfy dress and fun shoes!
8. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Forming relationships – with brands, other bloggers and my audience. While I am an introvert, I cherish relationships and meeting other people SO MUCH. I have made connections with some really passionate and talented people across the world and would not trade any of the hardships of blogging for that.
9. What is your advice for anyone thinking of starting a blog?
Put your heart into it 110% and GO FOR IT. I was so hesitant to put myself out there and honestly can’t describe how much it has been worth it. If there’s a song in your heart, you gotta sing it and put it out for the world to hear!!
