Fall Colors & a Fall Outfit in Davis, California

This past weekend I headed home for the weekend to visit with my family, dogs and of course Juliana from Tourist to Local. I got into Sacramento at 11:45pm Thursday night and went right to bed because I woke up at 6:00am to work remotely. 6:00am is a little crazy, but I wanted to start work early so I could be done around 2pm California time. I grew up in Davis, California and three years ago my parents moved down the road to Woodland. If you ever been to Northern California, you’ll know that there isn’t too much going on in Davis and Woodland. Regardless, I love being home and spending time with the people (and dogs) that mean most too me.

On Saturday, I met Juliana for brunch at De Veres’ Pub in Davis. I had no idea they served weekend brunch and we were pleasantly surprised with our meal. We both got the avocado toast with a over medium egg on top. So basic, but so good. If you’re ever in the area and like a boozy brunch, I saw on the menu that they have $12 bottle of champagne with OJ or cranberry juice. If you are with a friend that is $6 each for a couple of mimosas!

The old city hall in Davis was turned into a restaurant and bar called Bistro 33. In the 23 years I have been on earth, this is the first time I have taken a picture in front of the trendy ‘landmark’.

Of course after brunch I had Juliana do a photo shoot of my fall outfit. My top is a basic black long sleeve from Forever 21. When I purchased it online I thought it was regular length, but when it came in the mail I realized it was cropped. Juliana and I were joking that long sleeve cropped shirts are like an oxymoron. Anyway, because I am too lazy to return a $8 shirt, I decided to pair it with my favorite fall skirt from Marshalls. I LOVE this skirt and I always get compliments on it. My brown booties are from my mom’s closet but were on sale at Marshalls and SO CUTE!
