Happy Monday! Weeks seem to fly by and weekends come and go. I get a serious case of the Sunday Scaries every Sunday night because I get anxious about the week ahead and/or I am sad that the weekend is over. If any of you have tips and advice to live have a happier Sunday rather than stressing out about the week ahead of you, comment them down below. I want to hear!! Anyway, I try my best to remember to blog on the weekend, but I tend to forget so it has become a tradition to blog during the week while I stay at my rental house with my 2 roommates. Personally, I cannot wait to move out of this place. I am actually in the process of buying a house and even put in my first offer on Saturday! That offer was subsequently rejected because the Denver housing market is seriously RIDICULOUS! But hey, now I can say I am in full house hunting mode. I am off topic again (queue a “Catching Up with Olivia” blog post) so I will get right into the point of this blog post: my Winter Beauty Essentials.
I found myself turning to a couple beauty products a lot this winter so I wanted to share. Here in Colorado it is pretty cold during winter except for the handful of random 65 degree days. I wanted to share with you guys what I have been using for everything from self tanning to chapstick.
Self Tanner: I joined an intramural soccer team and did not realize how white I was until I was running around in my soccer shorts. I received this Coola Sunless Tan Dry Oil Mist back in September so I decided to whip it out to add some bronze to my skin. I love the mist and the smell of this product. It goes on great and you can easily build it up if you want a darker tan.
Hand Lotion: The EOS mini hand moisturizer is perfect for bringing on the go. I have one in my desk at work and in my purse because during the winter here in Colorado, I am ALWAYS dry! Although it doesn’t keep my hands smooth and soft for hours (I am not sure if there are any products that can combat the Denver air), it does the trick!
Daisy by Marc Jacobs Perfume: I have had my eye on the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume for years. But it is so hard for me to justify spending $75+ on a bottle of perfume. I asked my boyfriend for the roller ball version for Christmas. It is actually just the right size because I am always on the go and can throw it in my work purse. For those of you who don’t know I pretty much live out of a suitcase going back and forth from work, my boyfriend Paul’s place (where I spend most of my time), and my rental house.
Neutrogena Skin Clearing Mineral Powder: I also received this powder from Neutrogena a couple months back and absolutely love it! My face make up tends to wear off from 6am in the morning when I put it on till 3pm when I am leaving work. If I am heading somewhere right after work, I love touching up with this powder. It adds a little bit of coverage as well as soaking up any oil.
Burt’s Bees Chapstick: What is winter without some Burt’s Bees?! Paul also got me a pack of 5 Burt’s Bees chapsticks for Christmas. I have one in my nightstand at my house, one on my desk at work, two in my purse, and an extra one in my make up drawer. I hate when my lips need chapstick and I don’t have any on hand. And Burt’s Bees is such a classic, perfect for men and women!
