Because I start work at 6:30am I often times do my hair the night before to save time getting ready in the morning. I f you are worried about your hair being frizzy for a big job interview or if you just want to make sure your hair looks nice for the big day at work then there are things that you can do to make this happen. The best thing about straightening your hair is that you can actually do it the night before and by following these tips, you can keep it straight for the next day as well!
Straightening Serum
When you visit a salon, there is a high chance that they will use a serum on your hair to try and make sure that your hair is protected when you use your straighteners. This is a great way for you to protect your hair and it is also a great way for you to stop frizz. Of course, it’s super important that you use something like this as it will help to protect your hair from heat damage as well. The serum will probably be a silicone based spray and it will form a barrier around your hair. This will trap in all of the vitamins, minerals and more. A lot of these serums are designed to be applied to dry hair, so do make sure that you follow these instructions. If your straighteners aren’t good quality then this won’t help either, so invest in some from the Hair Straightener Studio if you want to get the best result.
Bedtime
Your serum shouldn’t stop when your hair has been straightened. You have to make sure that you apply it again before you go to bed. This will protect your hair from the heat when you are asleep and it will also help to trap in the moisture as well. It may even be worth you looking into some oils as well, as this is a fantastic way for you to really make sure that it stays smooth and hydrated.
Pinning Your Hair
Before you go to bed, you need to pin your hair. This will limit the amount your hair can bounce up. Split your hair into different sections, comb it and then pin it by using a hair slide. If you are able to build this up in layers then this will work wonders for your style. Alternatively, you can always tie your hair back if you want.
Protect Your Hair From Heat
When you heat your hair, this will dry it out and it will eventually cause the strands to split and give you frizz. It’s super important that you use a heat protection spray whenever you dry your hair as this will help to prevent thermal damage. It also helps to use ceramic or even tourmaline straighteners. Ceramic plates are also best as they are able to deliver the heat evenly and it also stops your hair from snagging in the straightening blades as well.
There are so many things that you can do to get the perfect straighten hair look, and best of all the night before so you can sleep in a little longer! Comment down below what your hair straightening tips are!
