Happy Wednesday! I am finally getting around to adding finishing touches on my new space so I can start posting room tours. I wanted to start this series by posting a room tour of one of my favorite spaces in my house, my home office and makeup room. First let me start off by saying that I have wanted a makeup vanity for years. I always tell my friends when they see my house for the first time that my 12 year old self would be very proud of my vanity.
I purchased this vanity from Amazon and was worried before it arrived that it would be too small. I am 5’9 so I did not want to look like an adult using a toddler’s play makeup vanity. I was pleasantly surprised with the size because it isn’t too big, but also not insanely small either. Plus it was only $139.99 and provides great storage for my makeup. I’ve never been so organized when it comes to where I do my makeup and hair.
I work from home two days a week, so having a home office at my new place is a game changer. In the past when I was working remotely, I would find a spot on Paul’s couch or if I was really needing to concentrate, use his cluttered desk. Now that I have a room dedicated to work, it makes me even more productive whether it is one of my work from home days or if I need to concentrate on blogging.
One of my favorite aspects of my desk is the canvas prints of me and Paul’s engagement picture. Canvas on the Cheap was so nice to send me this amazing canvas and I think it adds the perfect touch to my home office. Additionally, I love my Rifle Paper Co desk calendar…I get one every year for Christmas and absolutely love all the prints. And then of course I have my cork board with photo booth pictures and other fun memories.
That is all for my little home office and make up room. Once Paul officially moves in I am sure it will be a little more cluttered and less girly. But in the meantime, I am loving this space.
