It is crazy to think that exactly 1 month from today is my wedding day! Paul and I cant believe how quickly time has past since we got engaged in February. My mom has been a lifesaver with wedding planning and keeping us on track, we certainly could not have done it without her. While all the big details have been ironed out, I am starting to focus on how I want my makeup for the big day. I opted out of getting my makeup done by a stylist, both to save money and because I actually enjoy doing my makeup. In today’s post, I wanted to share the bridal makeup products I have picked out for my wedding look so far!
I did a lot of research to figure out which products I wanted for my wedding makeup look. After reading reviews, watching YouTube videos, asking my fellow brides in a wedding Facebook group, I purchased the products above. I also have a Tarte Creasless Concealer and Laura Mercier Translucent Powder currently being shipped from Sephora as well (oops)! So I may have spent some money on these products, but I figured I will definitely be using them after the big day.
LIPS: Kylie Lip Kit – Shade: KoKo
Finding the right lip product was one of the tougher finds for me because I didn’t want anything too pink, but also not too nude either! I was also looking for a product that was long wearing and decided to look into the Kylie lip kits. I settled on the shade KoKo because it is the perfect pinkish nude color and it lasts a long time too! I line and fill in my lips with the lip liner and then add the matte liquid lipstick on top and it looks amazing.
FACE: Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation
I got this foundation from Sephora and had one of the employees help me find the perfect shade that matched my skin tone. She said this foundation is one of the most popular for bridal makeup looks because in photographs it looks flawless. I’m not sure how, but I loved how it looked on my skin. Plus, it is build-able so I can add more for the amount of coverage I want
CONCEALER: Tarte Creaseless Concealer
My new Tarte concealer hasn’t arrived yet, but the reason I picked it out was just as the name says. It prevents makeup creases on your under eyes. It goes on so smooth and is the perfect product to brighten your under eyes and hide any redness or blemishes.
POWDER: Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
Also not pictured, but I caved and got the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to set my makeup look. It is a bit pricey, but everyone I talked to swears by it and says it is the perfect setting powder to ensure you makeup is flawless all day.
EYE PRIMER: Smashbox Lid Primer
My eyelids get oddly oily so I knew I needed to pick out a heavy duty eye primer for my eyeshadow look. I was watching Casey Holme’s bridal makeup look and she highly recommend this eye lid primer. I have tested it out a couple of times and can definitely say it keeps your eyeshadow locked in!
EYELINER: Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner
One of my friends let me borrow her Kat Von D Tatoo Eyeliner before and it was seriously the easiest eyeliner to apply. It goes on so smooth and you can build on your line as much as you want without messing it up!
EYESHADOW: Tartelette In Bloom Palette
I am obsessed with this eyeshadow palette and have been having so much fun playing around with bridal eyeshadow looks. I don’t want anything too dark and crazy, so this palette is perfect for me!
SETTING SPRAY: Urban Decay All Nighter
I had a bottle of this stuff since 11th grade that I just threw it away this year because no way was it good anymore. I decided to get a new bottle for my wedding makeup and forgot how great it is. I have set my makeup before work a couple of times and I can definitely notice how much better my makeup looks at the end of the day!
