It is a New Year and always the time of year when people start to reflect on their decisions and the things they want to do in their lives moving forward. Resolutions and goals are definitely a high priority, but sometimes it can be good to look at things in a different way. Perhaps creating a bucket list of things you want to do and places you want to see as a sort of long term goal, that way you can make changes and decisions each year in order to get where you need to be. Here are some suggestions for that bucket list for the most strong-minded of women out there.
Travel and see different places
One of the first things that you could think about would be to consider traveling and see different places. Perhaps you have a little list stored mentally or written down of all the places that you would like to see in your lifetime. Maybe this is the year to start doing that. It could be that you like the idea of traveling off the beaten track, perhaps using a few weeks to see a few different places or travel around a particular country. There is so much you could do this with this, and just starting by booking your first trip could give you the motivation to start booking in other options for the rest fo the year. I say, find a week that works with your PTO and just request it! Now you have no excuse but to book your next adventure.
Make some self-improvements
Maybe this is the year that you focus on yourself. Perhaps there is something that has been bothering you and affecting your confidence when it comes to your appearance. Could this be the year that you make those changes? It might be that you speak to a plastic surgeon about changes in your appearance. Maybe you like the idea of taking on a lifestyle change that sees you losing weight and making healthier choices. There are so many ways you can make the improvements you need to help you feel more confident in life.
Work on your mindset
On the subject of self-improvement, could this be the year that you change the way you think? Your mind is a powerful tool and as such, can be the reason why you do and act in a certain way. Maybe now is the time to focus on a more positive outlook in life. Are you naturally a glass half empty type of person? Sometimes changing the way you think can be hard to overcome, but forcing a positive outlook will ultimately help you break old habits and create new ones.
Change your career or start your own business
Finally, could this be the year that you start your own business or change your career? Many people have a focus surrounding their livelihood and careers at this time of year. It might be that you want to look at building upon an idea you had, have more flexible working from working from home, or simply want to do something that you feel passionate about.
