Our hair will always have top priority when it comes to a beauty regime. It’s all about finding a hair-care routine that works for you. Perhaps you’ve played trial and error with a few different products? Maybe you still haven’t found one that your hair truly loves? Luckily, there are so many inexpensive items in our kitchen cupboards that can give our hair the love and care it deserves.
1 . Coconuts
If you haven’t jumped on the coconut oil bandwagon, be sure to hop on soon. Coconut oil is just about one of the best moisturizers that you can get when it comes to those luscious locks. For fine or oily hair, use it in the same way that you would use a normal conditioner. For thicker or dry hair, brave this stuff as a leave-in conditioner. Using coconut oil, you’ll be sure to repair damaged hair, because the oil can help to protect your hair from protein loss. Coconut oil is also great at protecting ends and roots from breakage. Naturally, you’ll get that gorgeous shiny hair that just about every girl wants.
2. Bananas
Keeping on the tropical theme, bananas take our next spot on the list to perfect hair. Bananas are great for both your scalp and your hair. A good banana hair mask can help to moisturize plus prevent dandruff and give you that glossy finish. Bananas contain vitamins, oils and potassium, which can help to protect elasticity and keep those split ends at bay. To use bananas as a hair mask, simply mash them up in a bowl and apply to damp hair. Massage through from roots to ends and then leave for about twenty minutes before rinsing off.
3. Honey
Bring on the honey to get some serious shine. Honey is packed with antioxidants which can help to prevent damage from free radicals. Honey works to strengthen the follicles of your hair, plus seal in the moisture for that lovely glow. Honey also has antibacterial capabilities which mean that it’s excellent to keep the dandruff at bay. After you’ve shampooed your hair, give it a honey rinse for about fifteen minutes before washing out. Repeat this process each time you wash your hair for the best effects.
4. Avocado
Avocados are full of those essential amino acids that our hair absolutely loves. The natural oils found in avocado will keep your hair both hydrated and soft too. With so many nutrients, including B2, D and A, your hair will stay nourished and healthy. Banish those free radicals and trust in the power of avo! You can mix with bananas if you’re interested in one seriously great hair mask. Leave on for around twenty mins for top results.
With a few of these cheeky hair treats, you’ll soon boost your confidence. Once you’ve got your best-hair look going on, you’ll probably want a place to show off your efforts.
