With gyms and fitness studios closed for the foreseeable future, it is easy to get stir crazy especially if exercise is part of your lifestyle. I am an avid Orange Theory goer and not being able to attend my typical 2-classes a week is depressing. Luckily, my husband and I did purchase a Peloton right around Christmas so I am fortunate to be able to continue my normal rides. Without Orange Theory, I have been doing more Peloton rides as well as some of my favorite at home workouts. Not everyone has a Peloton, treadmill or at home gym so I wanted to dedicate this post to my favorite at-home workouts that you can do while social distancing.
#1: Free 90 Day Peloton Trial
You don’t need a Peloton bike or treadmill to take advantage of the workouts. You can sign up for a free 90-day trial and workout from your home, with no equipment needed. Sign up for a profile today and take advantage of on-demand classes. I personally love the core and strength workouts!
#2: YouTube Workouts
YouTube workouts are so underrated in my opinion. In the past when I didn’t belong to a gym, I would always turn to YouTube to get a good sweat in. Below are a couple of my current favorites:
15 Minute Total Core/Ab Workout (At Home No Equipment):
20 Min Full Body Home Workout // No Equipment, No Noise
30-Minute HIIT Cardio Workout with Warm Up – No Equipment at Home – Self
Kayla Itsines HIT 105 Brisbane Bootcamp
#3 Get outdoors
With this social distancing concept you are allowed outdoors. However, it is important to be mindful of others and ensure you are keeping your distance. Now is the perfect time to find a good hike, go for a run, walk around your neighborhood and enjoy nature. I think a lot of people are becoming thankful for things that we take for granted. Getting outside can help you get exercise in, but is also crucial for your mental health.
