Long story short, the golf club closed then re-opened after Colorado’s shelter-in-place announcement. At first golf courses were included in the closures, but a couple days later the governor listened to the pleas and allowed courses to re-open.. as long as there are specific guidelines in place. Our club is still closed, except open for walking the course. The bunker rakes are removed, rules such as ‘don’t touch the flagstick’ are in effect, and the course urges members to play with people they live with. Surprisingly we see members not following social distancing guidelines on the course, which is a bummer. Regardless, Paul and I are only playing with each other and we find it easy to maintain proper social distancing.
Last week Paul and I got to play after work on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both days we only play 6 holes, but it was great getting out of the house. As shown in my vlog, during Wednesday’s round we were behind the slowest 4-some of all time. It was grandparents playing with their granddaughter and grand-son-in-law (is that a thing?). Not only were they so slow that the groups behind us caught up as well, but I didn’t think spending time with your grandparents during this Pandemic was a good idea. Anyway, enough rambling!
