Buying a new home whether it is your first time or if you have bought and sold before is exciting time. New homeowners are often in the situation of starting from scratch while second and third time home buyers, can use the time to declutter and start fresh. As mentioned in previous posts, Paul and I recently moved into a new home. While we brought a lot of what we had previously, it was a great time to donate some of our old belongings such as kitchen utensils from college and hammy-down sheets. We have yet to have a housewarming party because #covid, but I did find inspiration for this post due to recent online shopping. In today’s post, I wanted to share 10 housewarming gift ideas for new homeowners including items of different price ranges to fit your budget.
Marble Charcuterie Board: Who doesn’t love an aesthetically pleasing and yummy board of charcuterie? I love coming up with fun creations for house guests, or just me and Paul. This marble charcuterie board from Wayfair for $33 is pretty and a good deal.
Throw blanket: A simple yet cozy housewarming gift. Target has a great selection and in addition, this chunky white one from Crate is Barrel is a good option.
A Succulent: What is a housewarming gift without a succulent? Our next door neighbors dropped by a beautiful succulent when we moved in and it is still alive #blessed.
A Smeg Kettle: Definitely on the pricer end, but I think this is such a fun gift for someone who would like the retro vibes Smeg offers with their mini appliances.
Personalized Wall Key Holder: My sister got me and Paul a personalized wall key holder for Christmas/Housewarming gift with our last name and key hooks for us and even Rex. It is such a thoughtful gift for a homeowner and definitely helps you from losing keys (hi, Paul).
A Candle: I love having candles burning throughout my house all year around. This New Home Smell soy candle is a perfect gift and sold on Amazon for the convenience of Prime.
Personalized Kitchen Towel: Etsy has some really cute and affordable options for personalized kitchen or tea towels. You can customize with last names, first names, or even the homeowner(s) dog’s name.
