Paul and I moved! I’m not sure if I have posted much about the move, but we bought a new home about 20 minutes west of where we were living. The buying and selling process was a bit stressful, but we did it and we LOVE the new place. I bought our previous house before we were married and knew it would be our starter home. We now have so much more space and a yard for Rex! Let’s just say it has been an expensive month. At the same time, it has been exciting decorating and finding new pieces for our home. In today’s post, I wanted to share some of my recent favorite home purchases.
Ruggable Kamarn Coral Runner: With the wood floors in the new place, Rex was slipping and sliding everywhere. We wanted to get a rug to help him out, but also spice up the place and minimize the amount of times I have to take the Bona across the floors each day. We chose Ruggable because of how easy it is to wash their rugs. We figured with Rex and the snowy winters in Colorado, being able to easily wash rugs is a huge plus. We also purchased the same design in a 7 x 9 format for underneath our kitchen table.
Crate and Barrel Terracotta Coasters: I picked out these coasters because of the design and the fact that they can be cleaned easily. I had wood coasters at the previous home and by the time we moved, they were stained and ready for the trash.
Chelidon Velvet Slipper Chair – Opalhouse: Ever since I had a dedicated home office, I wanted to get an accent chair. I opted for this pink chair from Target because my office is white, gold and blush themed. I will do a post or a vlog soon showing my updated office, but it fits in perfectly!
iPad/Recipe Book Stand: I got an iPad for Christmas (thanks, Paul!) so I wanted to get a recipe stand we could put in our kitchen to easily follow Pinterest recipes. I love this gold stand and even better, it was less than $9. I even set it up in the bathroom today while I took a bubble bath and watched YouTube videos.
Black Candle Stick Holders: I actually found these candle stick holders through my friend. We both follow Lauren Lane’s blog and Instagram and are obsessed with her home decor. Most of it is PRICEYYY, but she did post about these candle sticks a few months ago. They are only $25 through Amazon and are on Prime for free shipping. I had these on my Christmas wishlist and so my sister-in-law got them for me! I purchased basic white candlesticks and I think they look amazing on our kitchen table.
And that concludes my recent favorite purchases for the new home! Decorating the house will be a marathon not a sprint so keep an eye out for more posts documenting the process!
