I thought it would be fun to continue my work from home blog series and share a few products to help productivity and complete your office space. If you haven’t gathered it from the title of the post, these products are a tad bit on the random side, but that is what makes Miss Olivia Says unique (lol.. right?). And if you are interested, check out my recent post sharing my tips to improve productivity while working from home.
- Hydro flask: I always try and keep hydrated while I am working from home. My bathroom is right next to my office so why not drink a ton of water all day and go to the bathroom 12 times? If you are looking for a good recommendation, I love this pink hydro flask from Nordstrom.
- Sit stand desk: I have a sit stand automatic desk from Ikea that I really like but it was a bit pricey. My company did let us expense office furniture, but it I was paying from my own pocket, I would pick a sit stand desk topper like this one.
- Cell phone holder: I think this is a nice way to store your phone on your desk while you work. Plus, if you have a dedicated work phone, this is a great way to keep it close by and visible for incoming calls/texts.
- Spintray for Peloton: Okay, obviously this isn’t necessary but I think adding a spintray for your laptop to a Peloton is a great way to get a little workout in while listening in on a boring conference call. I don’t recommend riding while you are attending a meeting where you are interacting and participating, but if you have a call you need to attend but just listen, a spintray would be a fun change of scenery while you burn some calories.
- Wireless mouse pad: Simple yet helpful. A wireless mouse pad makes it easy to move around the house to work if you want a change of pace from your desk.
- Drink coasters: Okay, hear me out. I have a white desk so drink rings easily show if I am not careful. I bought a set of drink coasters a few weeks after I started my full time remote job and never looked back.
- Space heater: If you live somewhere with chilly winters, I recommend a space heater to warm up your office. I try to avoid blasting the heater throughout the entire house when I am in my little office 8-10 hours a day. Instead, I use a space heater which warms up my little area allowing me to control the temperature easily.
