Helloooo! π I’m back with a random blog post! Fair warning, I really don’t know where I am going with this post, so we are just going to run with the Mother’s Day weekend recap theme. We celebrated Mother’s Day at my parent’s house along with Paul, my sister, and the three pups. My mom wanted brunch so we divided and conquered. I made mini waffles using a teeny tiny waffle maker I got from Target last year for $10. The waffles were good, but it took close to 30 minutes to cook enough waffles for five. My sister, Allie, made a delicious egg and meat casserole, which was my favorite. Slap on some Tapatio and you have a yummy savory breakfast. And finally, my dad decided to get crafty and cook the bacon on his barbecue. He added some maple syrup for a sweet finish. And of course we had plenty of waffle toppings and mimosas.
The past few years we have made it a tradition on Mother’s Day to take a picture with our mom and respective dog-children. Each year the pictures get more and more funny with Rex looking unwell, Sailor ready to go off and eat grass, and Jake unbothered. Until one day we have a human child to add to the photoshoot, a family photo with the pups is as good as it gets.
To finish off this post with a lil OOTD, I wore these linen pants from Abercrombie and a basic white tank top bodysuit. I bought the linen pants with our big summer trip in mind, but figured they would be perfect for Mother’s Day brunch. The tank top was probably not the best idea, because it was 50 degrees and rainy π€·ββοΈ
